If the group becomes very large, the administrator added work. In addition, large groups of difficult to use e-mail lists because:
- Each of the team members must keep in his entire list;
- Messages are sent each participant group separately, and if the four members of the group are on the same network, each still sent a separate copy of each message, and if ten members of the group are on one big machine – this machine comes in ten copies of each message, one each group member. At large scale is very impractical;
- If you want to refer to during the discussion the earlier message, you have to store the entire archive in itself, but it may take too much space;
- As mailing lists and are accepted subject to the same programs as ordinary mail, if you are involved in a number of mailing lists, messages from different groups come pell-mell, and you have very separate messages of one group from another, and from individual letters.
